One of the most mysterious obliqua forms, this Monstera develops some of the most unbelievable fenestrations in the entire genus. Originally from Colombia, this species starts off life fully entire & develops deep fenestrations with maturity. Juvenile leaves are unfenestrated, wavy & elongated, while mature foliage consists of deeply fenestrated & wavy, lace-like leaves that are held together by the thinnest filaments. The emergents are incredibly fragile, appearing as if they are falling apart while the leaf inflates. They are denoted as Monstera aff. obliqua "Filamentous" due to their perceived relation to obliqua & designation within the obliqua complex based on inflorescence & morphology.
Above: the day I received the plant. It had yet to develop its first fenestration
